This accelerated course will prepare you to sit your PMI-SP® exam; the exam is not included. To sit your PMI-SP exam you will need to contact PMI or your local Prometric Testing Centre.

  • The certification exam comprises of 170 multiple-choice questions. You have 3.5 hours to complete it.
  • To maintain your PMI-SP credential, you are required to earn 30 professional development units (PDUs) every three years on the specialised topic of project scheduling.

Examination Passing Policy

Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year.  Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.

To be eligible to take the PMI-SP exam and achieve the PMI-SP certification, PMI require that you must meet certain educational and professional requirements:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent)
  • 5,000 hours of project scheduling experience
  • 40 hours of project scheduling education

or

  • Four-year degree (bachelor’s or the global equivalent)
  • 3,500 hours of project scheduling experience
  • 30 hours of project scheduling education
